Assembly options

Roller shutter systems can be installed in window and door openings both outside and inside, taking into account architectural and design peculiarities of building facade.

Installation of roller shutter systems can be planned at the stage of construction as well as after the building has been built Roller shutters can be equipped with external (20, 45-degree, round or quarter round boxes), or built-in ("invisible" SB-I box) shutter boxes.

External installation

The following installation types when the box is installed in the external surface of the wall can be distinguished:

Built-in installation

Main feature of this type of installation is the concealed mounting of the protective box in the building facade. These installation options imply special niches in the brick beam at the stage of construction for the installation of a roller shutter box.

The following installation types with built-in SB-I box can be distinguished:

Roller shutter profiles

Primary part of the roller shutter is the rolling curtain consisting of aluminum roll-formed or extruded profiles.

Roll-formed profiles for roller shutters

The profiles are made of high quality aluminum strip with a two-layer lacquer coating notable for its high wear resistance. Due to foam insulation the profiles feature good thermal and sound insulation properties. Roll-formed profiles can be either perforated or not perforated. Perforated profiles have narrow openings along the upper lock part. Scattered light penetrating through the openings creates beautiful semidarkness.

Extruded roller shutter profiles

Extruded profiles for rolling systems are made of aluminum billets using extruding through draw die technique. Roller shutters made of such profiles feature increased resistance to break-in due to wall thickness and the reinforcing rib.

End slats

Selection of the end slats depends on the type of the used profile and the locking type of the roller shutter.

Wide range of end slats provides the selection of a universal slats (ESU9x35, ESL9x50, ESU13x50, ESU13x52) or slats that can be equipped with RL key lock (ES9x45(R), ES14x51(R)). Joint profiles KPU37/R, KPU45/R provide for installation of the key lock both from outside and from the inside depending on the installation type and customer's preferences. KPU/R joint profile enables the installation of key lock profiles with the lock above the final lath of a rolling curtain, which reduces dust and dirt penetration into the lock in the course of operation.

The slats are supplied without inserts or with PVC inserts and insert-brushes.

Guide rails

Wide range of Alutech guide rails enables selection of guide rails for roller shutters installed in any opening taking into account requirements to break-in protection and opening peculiarities.

Standard guide rails

These are classic guide rails used for standard roller shutter systems with basic requirements to roller shutters.

Special guide rails

Doubled guide rails (GR79x22E(IE,BE)) are used to combine two or more roller shutters and divide wide openings , thus reducing the construction cost.

Spacing guide rails (GR53x34E(IE,BE), GR53x42E(IE,BE)) are used to distance roller shutters from window and door openings. They increas thermal and sound insulation.

Angle guide rails (GR45x60E(IE,BE), GR53x60E(IE,BE)) are used to make installation of roller shutters in the openings with outside thermal insulation layer easier. Also the guide rails are suitable for spacing from windows/doors.

Decorative guide covers

In order to ensure good design of roller shutters with round and quarter-round shutter boxes and GR53x22/eco, GR53x22, GR53x60, GR53x34, GR53x42 guide rails it is recommended to use GRC53 half-round plugs.

Reinforced guide rails

These guides have got thicker walls in comparison to the standard guide rails and are used in roller shutter systems to increase break-in protection of buildings.

Shutter boxes

Alutech produces a wide range of shutter boxes: 20- and 45-degree, round and quarter-round, built-in systems. Wide choice of standard sizes (from 125 to 405 mm) makes it possible to install roller shutters in openings of any size.

End caps

Alutech produces a wide range of end caps: 20- and 45-degree, round and quarter- round, intermediate two-sided and through (to dividethe openings). Wide range of end caps' sizes (from 125 to 360 mm) enables installation of roller shutters in various openings.

Intermediate two-sided caps SF165.205/D are installed together with the guide rails GR79x21 and GR79x22E(IE,BE) to interconnect "balcony-window" openings, in shoppingmalls, exhibition pavilions, etc. This type of installation provides the independent control of several roller shutters.

Intermediate through caps SF165.205/I are installed with guide rails GR79x21 and GR79x22E(IE,BE) to divide wide openings using two or more roller shutters . Through opening in the end cap makes it possible to install one octagonal tube and drive in the combined roller shutter system. This type of the installation enables independent control of several roller shutters.

Movable carriages, RC series

Movable carriages are designed to be installed into end caps SF205, SF250/S, SF250 and SF300, and ensure smooth entry of the rolling curtain into the guide rails.

Octagonal roll tubes

Octagonal tubes are made of high quality galvanized steel on automated high- pressure molding lines.

40, 60, 70 and 102 mm tubes have perforated openings for all main types of retainer springs designed to connect the rolling curtain.

Control systems

Alutech offers a wide range of drives and accessories to control roller shutters: from classic manual operators produced by the company to up-to-date automatics from the recognized brands – multifunctional electric drives with smart control systems.

Roller shutters with manual operators are perfectly suited for rooms with several windows of small or medium size openings.

Automatic control ensures the most convenient and multifunctional control of roller shutters by pressing one button you can simultaneously control all roller shutters or one at a time. You can do it lying on the sofa, in bed, or sitting at the table.

Smart control systems (programmable timers, light and thermal sensors, meteorological sensors) ensure an advanced level of comfort.
